Muffaletta
Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients
1 French bread
loaf
1/4 lb. Provolone
cheese, sliced thin
1/4 lb. Hard salami, sliced
thin
1/4 lb. Deli ham, sliced
thin
1/2 jar Olive
salad mix
1/4 lb. Part-skim mozzarella
cheese, sliced
Aluminum foil
Directions
Preheat oven to
350 degrees.
Cut French
bread in half length wise. Remove some of the bread from the center of each half (optional). Place both halves on a sheet of aluminum foil longer
than twice the length of French bread. Brush the cut side of the French bread
with a little of the dressing from the olive salad mix. Then layer one side with
provolone cheese, salami, ham, olive salad mix, and mozzarella cheese. Top with
other side of French bread. Wrap with foil and place in the oven for 20 - 25
minutes or until cheese is melted and muffaletta is hot. To serve remove from
foil and cut into pieces.
